Terms and Conditions and Media Consent
Participants attest that all information and materials submitted as part of the E-LEAD Program application and registration process is an accurate and true reflection of themselves; participants agree to adhere the financial, and conduct policies and procedures set forth below by E-LEAD, along with any policies and procedures of partner institutions or providers. E-LEAD recommends that you read the Terms and Conditions carefully, and should you require further detail, one of our team members will be contactable on s.majeed@e-lead.com.au. Please also be aware that there may be additional terms and conditions that apply to specific placements or programs.
The participant must abide by the terms and conditions set by individual program companies and operators, including airlines, insurance providers, ground transport operators and accommodation providers. If the participant is uncertain about these terms and conditions he/she must contact E-LEAD immediately.

Program Confirmation
Participants will not be registered into an E-LEAD program until their application has been submitted and payment deposited. The participant also agrees to the terms and conditions of any host company (if applicable). E-LEAD and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse any applicant who does not comply with program terms and conditions.
Travel
Participants are responsible for all travel expenses to get to and from the program venues unless it is covered in a specific program. All travels for the program are at the participant’s own risk.
The participant (University student or professional) certifies that he/she meets the eligibility criteria when completing a registration form for the pertinent E-LEAD program. The applicable program fee is payable when the participant completes the registration form.

Insurance
All participants are required to organise their own health/medical/travel insurance to participate in any of the E-LEAD programs.
E-LEAD requires all participants to be covered by appropriate health/medical insurance prior to departure on any program, especially global immersions.

Program Fees, Cancellation and Refund policy
All participants are required to pay the program fee at the time of registration. Upon acceptance of an official offer for any E-LEAD program, full fee of the program is due even if the payment installments are allowed. The enrolment deposit is to be paid with the acceptance of the program offer to secure a place on the program. Due to the nature of E-LEAD’s work, programs and pertinent logistics, resources and staffing issues, the enrollment deposit is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. The overall program fee is also non-refundable but in extremely unavoidable circumstances, a written application needs to be submitted to the E-LEAD CEO via s.majeed@e-lead.com.au to refund or credit part of the fee for future programs, which will be subject to the admin fee. For refund purposes, no other modes of communication will be entertained or responded including social media channels or phone calls and texts and voicemails.

Program Fee Changes
E-LEAD reserves the right to adjust program fees in the event of price rises by partners or other suppliers. If the cost of any service increases due to any unavoidable reason, participants are required to pay the increase when notified or may cancel a program which may result in cancellation fees, per the E-LEAD refund policy.
Cancellations by E-LEAD
E-LEAD reserves the right to cancel any program if there are insufficient registrants (in the rare case that minimum numbers may apply) or if E-LEAD determines it is in the best interest of the applicant’s safety and quality of programming to cancel the program. E-LEAD is not responsible for other costs incurred by applicants preparing for a program. Should a program be cancelled for any reason, applicants will, where possible, be offered the option of positions in other E-LEAD Programs or a refund on all fees paid, which is subject to an admin fee.
Unforeseen Circumstances
E-LEAD and its affiliates shall not be responsible for or deemed to be in default by reason of delays in or failure to provide programs due to causes beyond its reasonable control and not being limited to strikes, riots, fires, floods, explosions, serious accidents, any act of government, governmental priorities, allocations, regulations, or orders affecting materials or facilities, acts of God or the public enemy, failure of transportation, epidemics, or quarantine restrictions.
Release of Liability and Assumption of Risks
E-LEAD, its partners, agents, employees, and staff give notice that they act solely on behalf of and for the benefit of the participants, on the express agreement that E-LEAD shall not be liable, financially or otherwise, for non-performance or unsatisfactory service; for the injury to persons including death, for loss of or damage to property, for accident or delay, and/or for expenses arising from strikes, weather, quarantine, sickness, government regulation, civil unrest or war, or from any act or omission of E-LEAD employees, rail, bus company, vehicle rental entity, hotel, restaurant, or other supplier of service. By agreeing to these terms and conditions participants assume these risks and agree to indemnify E-LEAD, its officers, directors, partners, program leaders and employees harmless for any and all liability that may arise in connection with participation in an E-LEAD program.

Important program information will be sent to the email address provided on the application. Photographs, videotapes, and/or statements provided by participants may be used in promoting E-LEAD. E-LEAD publishes program and project photos regularly on the E-LEAD website and social media sites. These photos and videos are available for current and future participants, friends, family, and interested individuals to download, email, or print for personal use.
E-LEAD shall have no responsibility for any activities undertaken by the participant outside the scope of those directly relating to the program, including activities which may have been recommended by E-LEAD staff or its partners.

All participants must possess a valid ticket/offer letter and must have finalised their program fee prior to the commencement of the respective program.
Code of Conduct & Behavioural Expectations
By joining an E-LEAD Program, the participant assumes certain obligations to E-LEAD and other program participants. If an on-site program director/manager determines a participant fails to meet the behavioural expectations or does not abide by the Code of Conduct/Participant Guidelines set out by E-LEAD, that participant may be asked to leave the program.
Participants asked to leave under such circumstances will not receive a refund.
In addition to other program responsibilities, as a program participant you are responsible for:
Being in sufficient good health to undertake the program.
Acting in an appropriate and respectful manner towards the other program participants.
Communicating effectively your interests and needs to program staff members.
E-LEAD also expects all participants to behave in a legal manner that is respectful of other people, customs, and property.
While participating in an E-LEAD program, it is expected that participants will abide by the code of conduct/participant guidelines. Violation of this code may include dismissal from the program.
Participants asked to leave under such circumstances will not receive a refund.

Compensation: A participant may be required to pay for damages or theft.
Loss of privileges: A participant may be denied permission to participate in E-LEAD activities, excursions, etc. permanently or for a designated time. No refund will be given for missed activities.
Dismissal: A participant may be permanently expelled from the E-LEAD program. The dismissed participant will not receive a refund of any kind.
Termination of participation does not diminish or otherwise affect the participant’s obligation to make all payments to E-LEAD.
Corrective action may include but is not limited to any of the following:
Compensation: A participant may be required to pay for damages or theft.
Loss of privileges: A participant may be denied permission to participate in E-LEAD activities, excursions, etc. permanently or for a designated time. No refund will be given for missed activities.
Dismissal: A participant may be permanently expelled from the E-LEAD program. The dismissed participant will not receive a refund of any kind.
Termination of participation does not diminish or otherwise affect the participant’s obligation to make all payments to E-LEAD.
Alcohol and Drug Use Policy
Participants who choose to drink alcohol are always responsible for their actions. Excessive drinking may be grounds for dismissal as it can affect the safety of the group, the community and/or the individual. Intoxicated students will not be allowed to participate on any E-LEAD program, excursion or activity, and participants will not receive a refund for the missed excursion or activity. The use, sale, or possession of illegal drugs by E-LEAD participants is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the program with no refund applicable.
Any violation of the alcohol and drug policy will be taken seriously by E-LEAD and may be reported to authorities where applicable.
Gross misconduct, use of drugs, dangerous or offensive behaviour, and/or failure to perform duties as requested may result in expulsion from the relevant program.

Age
Participants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of participation in an E-LEAD program. If under 18, appropriate consent forms will also need to be signed by parents / guardians. E-LEAD reserves the right to cancel an application or terminate a placement without refund if false proof is found to have been supplied.
Disclosure
All participants must disclose at time of application any pre-existing or existing medical conditions (including depression or related conditions and / or eating disorders) and disabilities. E-LEAD reserves the right to refuse an application based on these disclosures if deemed necessary and in the safety and best interests of the participant. E-LEAD reserves the right to cancel an application or terminate a placement without refund if false information or lack of disclosure is found to have been supplied.
Complaints
If a participant wishes to lodge a complaint in relation to their program, they shall first bring the complaint to the attention of the E-LEAD staff present at the event, our Program Manager or Director, who will make reasonable efforts to deal with and, where possible, resolve the complaint within a reasonable time. If the representative is unable to resolve any serious complaint, and the participant chooses to terminate their placement early and depart the project, they shall provide the representative with a written notice prior to departure. Compensation cannot be provided for early departure from any program unless extreme circumstances are found, which will be determined at the sole discretion of E-LEAD. Participants agree that E-LEAD shall not be liable for damages or compensation relating to any claim regarding inconvenience, disappointment, discomfort or loss of enjoyment.

General Consent
I CONSENT E-LEAD to take, coordinate and use any photographs, video or sound recordings of me/my child and reproductions or adaptations of my/his/her likeness (‘the material’), either in full or part, in conjunction with any wording or drawings, in any E-LEAD publication, production and presentation, including electronic/internet marketing materials for the purpose of promoting E-LEAD and its programs.
